5/52 week in review

Our week via @leahfaye3 & @twicee

What a blissful week this has been! I have been sleeping regularly, catching up on my internet life (I seriously had 1000 unread blogposts on bloglovin' you guys...), and working. It has been such a relief to sit back and relax for a little while! I had so much time I was actually able to make curry for my boyfriend and I! It has been seriously so long since I made and ate a real meal for myself. I tried out this curry recipe and it was delicious. I also found some seriously adorable thrift finds this week; a leather ottoman, tiny star earrings, and the perfect woven basket purse? I am in heaven.

We have been loving winter outfits lately! Sometimes you just need a little bit of inspiration to make it through the winter. One can only wear the same sweater so many times, but these outfit ideas are just so freaking cute! Plus looking forward to some summer weather can't hurt;)
I have been "helping" my boyfriend redo/ decorate his house. I am having so much fun and love finding inspiration on pinterest. Bright white walls, built shelves, wood floors, and black and white color schemes have been catching my eye the most...  Here are some of our pins from this week:

Our favorite pins:

(You can find these pins and more on Erin's pin board and my own)

What you missed this week:

January 27th: freedom at it's finest
January 29th: glass terrarium diy
January 30th: at the breakfast table

Happy Friday!

** We meant to start this the first week of January, but we're a little bit late so we're starting with 5. Oops :)

Our favorite crafts of 2013

It is amazing to reflect on the past year of blogging and all that it has brought for Erin and I. I don't think I ever crafted as much as I did in the past year! I learned so much about making quality items, about myself and what I will actually keep, and most of all how to take good quality pictures of the things I was making! Our posts have come so far since the very beginning.

Here are our favorite crafts from the second half of 2013 (you can see our first recap here):

These Polaroid coasters were some of my favorite things that I have ever made...ever! They turned out so cute and they were incredibly cheap to make! They would also be pretty fun to make as gifts for other people!

I was so glad when I finally found a pre-sliced log at Joann's. I always knew that I could cut my own, but making this wood slice chalkboard was just so dang easy! I love the way it worked out and I can't wait to work it into my ever changing decor.

I knew from the very moment I found these espresso cups at our local thrift store that I had finally found the perfect dishware to try out the baked sharpie technique. That mixed with my love of honeycomb print made for the most adorable little espresso mugs. Now just to get an espresso maker...

As the summer ended it was finally time to start bringing all my succulent propagation experiments inside. I made these adorable little hemp and yarn planters to give them a nice home inside.

We get so many compliments on our restyled picnic basket when ever we bring it out and about! We just love it so much. It is amazing what a little bit of paint and patience can do!

One of our favorite crafts from this past year, strictly because of how beautiful it turned out, was our lunar necklace DIY. It seriously turned out so pretty and from items found at our local hardware store (and Joann's of course).

We cannot wait to get crafting now that it is 2014. Our second year of blogging is sure to bring some fun things! We already have so many ideas planned!

Anything you guys want to see?

December in Instagrams

Erin:

Leah:

December just flew by, but that's no surprise since that seems to be happening with every month lately! This month was filled with the end of the semester, finals, and Christmas break. This whole year is just going by so fast, it's freaking me out! I'm going to start panicking about the end of college pretty soon here. There is so much left to do between now and then!! Whew. Breathe.

In other news, tomorrow I leave for a European Choir Tour for most of the month of January so things might be a little quieter around here. Don't worry though, you'll have an entire month to prepare yourselves for all the (hopefully) awesome pictures that I'll be able to take around Europe!

Anyone done anything super cool in 2014 yet?
