stripes, polka dots, and a whole lot of neutral

By now you have probably figured out that we don't wear very many colors-neutrals are just more of our thing! We will throw in some dark green or light pinks here and there, perhaps some burnt orange, but typically we stray away from bright colors in our wardrobe. We love colors elsewhere though. On our lips, fingernails, and filling our homes? That is where we love color the most. It has been several months since we have been able to have a picture taken of the two of us together. Call it the lazy's, but we just haven't whipped out the tripod in...several months! Luckily our friend Megan was kind enough to offer to snap a few pictures of us. When we first started we always took outfit pictures together! A lot has changed in the past year!  What are your favorite colors to wear? -a clover & a bee

DIY black striped graphic tee

I had been seeing t-shirts similar to this one starting to pop up all around me... on pinterest, commericals, etc.. and I loved them! The problem is that when you are on a budget you can't really justify buying a silly little t-shirt for almost no reason. The good news is though that most things (a slight exaggeration) can be made for way cheaper with a little thrifting and crafting skills.  With a little bit of painters tape and a glob of fabric paint I got to work. I first made a square with painters tape on the front of my t-shirt. I then laid out my stripes making sure that each stripe was approximately the same size. Add some paint and voila!  After it dried we were able to style it! What would you wear this shirt with? -a clover & a bee

Fall weather is finally here! We are whipping out our vests, long sleeves, and pants and preparing for mildly colder days. We have long awaited the coming fall, it is one of our very favorite seasons! Summer just gets slightly unbearable in Kansas-very uninspiring for outfit pictures. Now we finally get to have fun with layering and standing outside to take pictures is really enjoyable!

Erin is finally home from her weekend away at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. Our little apartment was so lonely without her! It has been nice to have her home. Her boyfriend has gone every year since he was just a baby, so she is enjoying joining that tradition. Her beautiful neon orange "bracelet" is from the event. Memories can be included in your styling too:)

This cloud sculpture in our photos was a collaboration done by three local artists, Phil Epp, Terry Corbett, and Conrad Snider. Phil has done many cloud motifs, and we just love this one for a photo backdrop! It makes for such colorful and fun photos.
