Hey everyone! It's been a while, huh? The past few months have absolutely flown by, and all of the sudden here we are, one month away from graduation! This whole semester has just been a whirlwind, and our blog baby got a little neglected. But here we are, easing back into it. It's nice to realize that when things get hectic we can just take a step back and focus on other things. This blog is here for us to enjoy really, and a nice distraction from the craziness of life. But, when life gets just a little too crazy we have to take a break. I'm heading into the last few weeks of school now, and I present my senior project later this week... so it's finally actually happening! Graduation is so close! I'm really looking forward to having my family all out here with me then too.

Anyways, I figured it was about time I mentioned a little bit about what's going on in my life. For the next few weeks I'm just finishing up all of my schoolwork, and wrapping my mind around the idea of being done with college. What's next, you ask? I'll be staying in Kansas for the summer - of course I have to be here for Leah's wedding - but I'll be looking for a job in the New England area (Anyone have any openings for a cute math major with programming skills? wink wink). My boyfriend, Landon, and I are then hoping to move up there sometime in the fall!

Basically, these next few months are going to be a giant transition period for both Leah and I, but we'll try and keep you updated along the way.

Does anyone else come home and immediately put on all the new clothes that they just bought? No? Just me? Okay. Well I'm always so excited about new stuff that I have to break it out as soon as possible. I got home from a little thrifting today where I scored these adorable velvet flats, and obviously had to wear them for these pictures.

The weather is just teasing us with a little sun before it dives into those terrible, terrible single digits later this week. Low of 8° on Friday? No thanks. I'll pass. The colder the weather gets, the more I don't want to get wet. I've started just staring at the dishes instead of washing them, and cuddling under my blankets a little longer instead of getting up and showering. So please everyone, for the sake of our hygiene, hope for those extra cold days to just not happen.

The end of this semester of classes is so soon, I'm already getting excited - though it may be a little preemptive. I still have to get through finals. I'm just too excited for winter break!

Sorry for the semi blurry photos, but hey, we get points for standing in the rain to take pictures right? We had planned on taking outfit pictures the night before and were so disappointed to see that it was raining in the morning! It rained almost all day but stopped just before the time we had planned to take pictures. I ran home and grabbed Erin and we ran outside. Soon after our first picture though it started to ran again.
A rainy day photo shoot was the perfect way to show off my new umbrella though! I used to have one really similar that I bought from Target, but it sadly broke. I sang a quick song to it as I tossed it in the trash... I found this one though at our local thrift shop for about 2 dollars! I was so pumped!
We do love rainy days, they just make for some interesting pictures:)

falling for fall

I never thought I would enjoy a commute as much as I do. I have about a 10 minute drive going to and from my student teaching placement and I get so much thinking done on the way! My favorite part though has been tree spotting. There are some absolutely gorgeous trees in our area these days. My favorite is the one that hasn't quite changed all of the way-some leaves are still green, some are orange, and some are a bright beautiful red. This street though that we are standing on really hit the jackpot of tree beauties. Erin and I gasped as we turned on to it when we were searching for a good place to take our pictures.  All of these beautiful reds, greens, and oranges have really inspired our wardrobes these days! They leaves are just so beautiful that they are making us break out of out tendency to only wear neutrals...but just a little. We laughed when we walked out of the house and both of us were wearing shades of red and orange. I guess you start to dress a like when you live together, work together, and blog together... We are just so in love with fall! -a clover & a bee
