DIY lunar necklace

We were so inspired by Yesterday's Sweetheart's use of hardware store materials to make beautiful jewelry that we just had to check it out for ourselves. I felt a little bit silly walking around looking for heavy duty materials to make silly little bracelets and necklaces, but ... who cares anyways?
I ended up finding these tiny brass tubes that I knew would work perfect for making beads. My boyfriends brother just so happened to have a tiny saw that would work to cut them up, so he lent it to me for an evening. I cut the tubes up into varying sized beads and sanded them down.
We found these adorable white beads at Joann's Fabric and Crafts. They reminded us so much of tiny little moons-we love anything lunar inspired! We strung our brass beads and our lunar beads onto some string and added a lobster-claw necklace closer. We couldn't be happier! We even had a few extra beads to make a bracelet with!
How would you style this necklace?

I love it! One of my favorite bracelets was made of coastlock snaps (fishing gear) and I have earrings from TenThousandVillages made from popcan pull tabs.

Hey! Awesome! I love that you had to cut the tubes because now all of the pieces are a bit different. Great idea!
