In our opinions, the best way to celebrate a 21st birthday is with a sugary drink that takes way more work than you would be willing to spend time making yourself on any ordinary day. So for Erin's birthday we cooked up a little something special.
Two weeks before our party we picked up a handle of vodka and 24 lemons in order to make a batch of limoncello. To make it, you soak the entire handle with the peels of 24 lemons for two weeks (Props to Erin for ever so carefully peeling and juicing each and every one of those lemons all by herself!!) Once soaking, we stored it in a closed container deep in the crowded cupboards of our tiny kitchen.
After the two weeks was up we whipped it back out, mixed it with varying amounts of orange juice and grenadine and served it to our guests. It was quite the hit and super delicious. We highly recommend it.
What is your favorite sugary cocktail?
