over the weekend: a much needed retreat

A miracle happened to us this week. Yes-a miracle. While Erin was working one day a lady walked in and offered her two free tickets to a concert at Bartlett Arboretum for this Sunday. It was seriously the perfect timing as we have been in need of a little break from our day to day lives. Plus we love the arboretum and can't resist a visit from time to time. It ended up being the perfect day. We woke up and moseyed around the house for a little while before packing up our picnic (in our adorable DIY picnic basket) and hitting the road. The drive ended up being a wonderful time to blast some Miley and talk about all of our big blog ideas. We even stopped for a little coffee at Meads in Wichita on the way. Bartlett Arboretum is such a beautiful place. We have been there a few times before and we were recognized as the "Bethel Beauties" who came to do a vintage photo shoot the summer before. We set up our picnic of wine, cheese and crackers, and strawberries in a big field to listen to some music. It was fun to wander around the beautiful arboretum and relax all day.
