It is amazing how it can be so cold in the mornings and evenings and so hot in the afternoons during fall. Luckily the hot afternoons are slowly cooling off but it leads to some pretty strange outfits! We have to plan to take a layer or two off during the day which can get pretty complicated.

The past few months I (Leah) have been student teaching at a few Elementary Schools in town. It has been such an amazing experience full of silly stories, a few short lived frustrations, a lot of learning, and so much fun. I love my cooperating teacher and all of my little students! Sadly though yesterday was my last day. The little kindergartners all filed into the room and sang "thank you for teaching us Ms Clark" to the tune of "Happy Birthday" and another class gave me a tray of cinnamon rolls. I cried all the way home and then ate all of those darn cinnamon rolls in one day to ease my sadness. I'm going to miss those little guys!

I make a pretty big transition into Middle School on Monday. I can't wait to meet all the new faces and see what teaching them will be like! It is crazy to think that I am halfway done with my student teaching!!!

What transitions are you going through right now?

  1. I don't have any transitions at the moment and it feels really nice just staying put for once. I remember my student teaching transitions. It was sad leaving my old students, but so wonderful to make connections with new ones. :)
