DIY wood slice chalkboard

A few weeks ago, on our first big Joann's Fabrics run (that place is seriously heaven to a crafter), we saw these beautiful wood slices and instantly fell in love... we might be crazy. I had always wanted to make my own, but buying it from them just seemed so much easier! Plus they hand out coupons like nobody's business so we were able to get a pretty good deal on it.
Once we had it home in our tiny apartment we knew what we had to do-combine our new love of wood slices with our love of chalkboard paint. It turned out beautifully, did it not? We were thinking it would make the perfect addition to the center of our table for our Friendsgiving coming up. This is our first year hosting a Friendsgiving and we are just so excited! (like the pun on our wood slice?)
Though this will be the perfect centerpiece for Friendsgiving, it can also serve so many other functions! What would you write on it?
